About Chelby Mendell

My name is Chelby, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my Masters of Social Work degree from The University of Texas at Austin. As a trauma informed and CBT-oriented therapist, I recognize the courage it takes to enter into a therapeutic relationship. My highest priority is to create a safe space that allows you to fully explore your innermost thoughts and feelings. In my therapy practice I work from a place of openness and curiosity, without judgment or assumptions. I empower clients to look inward to find acceptance and create change in areas that may be preventing them from a meaningful life. I believe that anyone can benefit from therapy at any point in their lives. While therapy can focus on major life changes, it can also be beneficial to focus on improving everyday stress that impacts our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. As your therapist I will focus on your needs. Only you know what brings you to therapy and I am here to listen and support you. Together we will utilize your strengths to help you to feel more confident in coping with stresses in life. No matter what brings you here, I recognize it takes a great deal of hard work and self-reflection. I am honored to work with you.
