About Veronica Bratcher

I help professionals struggling with grief, or recovering from childhood trauma release guilt and overwhelm so that they can embrace life and relationships—all from the comfort and confidentiality of secure telehealth with online video counseling. Losing someone you love can be a wildly lonely and confusing experience. Trauma and abuse can feel like they have defined who you are allowed to be or what you are worth. Your periods of intense grief can be followed by a few hours of feeling normal—even happy—and then feeling guilt about those normal, happy feelings. One minute the loss hardly seems real...and the next minute it feels like the only real thing in your life. After my daughter died I went looking for answers. I couldn't find them. I found cookie cutter answers from therapists on how to deal with trauma. I found work books to manage these giant thoughts and feelings all by myself. I even found true crime books about how crimes happened but not about how people healed. Occasionally there were healing stories that focused on a connection to a higher purpose or God. Those didn't really fit me. I almost lost my marriage, my sense of self, even life as I knew it. I was too tired to pursue goals that had been so important to me. After some deep learning and soul searching, I finally started to put things back together. Deep down, I knew that I wasn't going crazy. I have helped others find their path without waiting and hoping it just shows up. I want to help you know that you aren't crazy either. I took my life back--without shame, without denial, without saving my pain for a later date. My clients find hope and a renewed encouragement for reclaiming the life they felt they had lost (or building the one they didn't think was possible). I help survivors identify the painful meanings from their experiences and change what that means about their present and their future. When these things change, life opens up again and you can finally give yourself permission to feel good after sadness. I embrace transformation and support in my life and my practice. Missing pieces matter. Mending a broken heart is one of the biggest transformations that will change every aspect of your life. Take that first step today and reach out.
