About Tim Huang

My name is Dr. Tim Huang, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker & Board-Approved Supervisor with a doctorate degree in Social Work from Tulane University. As a bilingual (English/Chinese Mandarin) and trauma-informed therapist, I strive to create a safe and welcoming space for clients to share their unique lived experiences, explore new insights, and learn positive coping skills to maximize psychosocial functioning. I specialize in working with people who experience anxiety and depression, challenges in stress management, cross-cultural adaptation, grief and loss, self-growth, life transitions, and chronic illness. I am also a LGBTQIA+ affirming clinician. In the process of building this therapeutic alliance, we will work on developing individualized treatment goals and interventions using a variety of evidence-based psychotherapeutic modalities. I believe healing is a self-motivated ongoing process of learning, growth, and self-discovery. In my experience, I’ve heard incredible stories of sadness, triumph, failure and recovery. One thing that I find in common is that humans are resilient in nature, regardless of how adverse the context might be or how difficult the times are. Our ability to relieve suffering is largely determined by our authenticity, open-mindedness and willingness to move forward. Success is found in many forms and I will be honored to assist in your journey ahead.
