About Sara Fischer Sanford

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in California. I began my career 15 years ago working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Over time I transitioned to working in a medical environment with patients facing severe illness. My focus in all of my work is helping my clients navigate periods of crises, trauma, or struggles of stress and life changes. The pandemic has only added layers of difficulty that we must all face. I can offer a personalized approach to overcoming your own specific challenges with warmth and compassion. My counseling style is both casual and client centered. We all process our challenges differently and I can help identify strengths and ways of coping. I feel confident that whether you are seeking help for the first time, or if you have had the experience of counseling in the past, I can offer genuine empathy and a supportive environment to all.
