About Heather Clifford

Hi! I’m Heather founder of Emerging Psychology. I'm passionate about helping clients get through the tough stuff so they can live a life that is important to them. I love working with young adults because it is a time of figuring out values and how to be an “adult” (whatever that means). Young adulthood is filled with transitions. At one moment you may feel like you got life under control and the next day you are in tears or experiencing panic attacks. It may be true that the only constant in life is change, but change does not have to bring you so much suffering. I’m here to help you navigate those changes. My clients often find themselves feeling stuck. They are no longer feel like a teenager, but they don’t quite feel like an adult. They feel a lot of pressure to figure out who they are, who they want to be, what they believe in, and who they love. Along with this stuck feeling is often anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. Many of them have experienced trauma and may not even realize that is what is getting in the way of them reaching their goals.
