About Diane Adelson

Thank you for stopping by my site.  I have been a social worker for over 30 years and have worked extensively with addictions, anxiety and depression.   I offer a trauma therapy model called Somatic Experiencing.  It helps the person's system regulate itself after trauma.   Traumas can be big, like an attack, or an accumulation of emotional abuses.  Our bodies get 'stuck' and we don't live freely.  Many people carry guilt and shame, which interferes with us being truely free and happy.

I also practice Internal Family Systems Model.  We all have parts to us...little kids parts, angry parts, that interfere with us having a full life.  These parts all want to serve us, but can go overboard.  This model works expecially well with couples as 'parts' of us may be angry or hurt and other parts are okay.

I would be happy to speak with you about any of these issues.  Please feel free to call me at 860-338-3324, Diane Adelson, LCSW at Psychotherapy Associates of CT, LLC.  Thanks.
