About Center for Human Development (CHD)

CHD’s Outpatient Behavioral Health Services Clinic in Orange has served the local community since 2001. A team of Master’s level therapists and psychiatric nurse practitioners are available to help children, adolescents and adults overcome challenging life situations. An experienced supervisor is always on site or on call to provide support. The Orange Clinic provides mental health services and is also licensed by the Bureau of Substance Abuse Services to provide help with addictive disorders. Each person starts with an evaluation meeting, which leads to a plan that addresses concerns one step at a time. Examples of issues that can be helped by psychotherapy include:  anxiety and depression, trouble with relationships,  problems with drugs or alcohol, and difficulties at school and work.

Special therapeutic expertise:  Child development, addictive disorders, mood and personality disorders,  anger issues, grief and loss. We have practitioners skilled in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Short Term Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Driver Alcohol Education (DAE) and Second Offender Aftercare Services certified by the Massachusetts Bureau of Substance Abuse Services are available at the Orange site.
