About Margot Davis

I work with clients in very focused way to identify their goals and to develop usable realistic strategies to accomplish them. Strategies include mindfulness based therapy, coaching on comunication skills, identifying pro-social behaviors, and problem solving skills. I also work closely with psychopharmacologists for those who may need medication. I have worked in the fields of substance use disorders and trauma for over 35 years and understand the nature of these conditions and the meaning of loss that is associated with them both from the client and family member perspectives. Because many of my clients come from different ethnic and religious backgrounds, I use the strength-based approach in utilizing existing and important community supports. I do not believe therapy is forever, but progress is.
