Ross Phillips, LMFT, CATC IV
About Ross Phillips
Curiosity, learning, and communication are themes in my life. I returned to my native California after spending most of my adult life overseas. My travels include North America, Latin America, Asia, and North Africa. Living, working, and traveling as an entrepreneur and executive in Europe and the Caribbean for many years has afforded me an open mind, compassion, tolerance, and respect for cultural differences and beliefs.
Living as an expat for three decades has given me a unique understanding of the issues affecting this community. Cultural assimilation, new schools, non-working spouses, and long-distance relationships are some of the factors causing stress and strife in an expatriate's life.
Anxiety, depression, co-dependence, and career change are also areas where I can be of help. My specialty is working with individuals, couples, and families with problems exacerbated by substance dependence and abuse. I am a Certified Addictions Treatment Counselor (CATC IV) and received my Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University Los Angeles.
