About Beth Berta

It is truly a privilege to be a therapist, and I value each client relationship.   Some clients are working through trauma issues, while others are addressing difficulties coping with life transitions, relationship issues, anxiety and depression, or emotional instability.

Seeking therapy does not meant that you are broken, but not satisfied with how you are reacting to the complex and contradictory world we live in. I work to understand your issues in the context of your unique experience rather than a pathological perspective of you having something wrong or being broken.

My style is relaxed and engaged during our meetings. Even though we are addressing complicated and sometimes painful subjects, it is not surprising for my clients to find themselves laughing as they share their life with me. Our time together is yours, and you deserve to get what you need from it.  I am client-centered in my therapeutic approach – your ideas, needs and goals drive our session.

I want you to look forward to our sessions – as we are working on creating the change you want in your life. Together, in a safe space you tell me your story as it is to date – and we work through the issues that are troubling you and figure out how you want to address them. Although sometimes this means talking about difficult subjects, it is my responsibility to help you feel comfortable and safe to do so.

In addition to working with those experiencing problems with depression or anxiety, I have a specialization in crisis intervention and working with issues related to grief, trauma/abuse recovery, and substance abuse.  A social worker for over 15 years, I have a wide variety of clinical experience that allows me to therapeutically intervene in a way that is meaningful to each person I work with.  I look forward to assisting you in your journey, please contact me and schedule an appointment.
