About Helen Schepartz

My intention as a therapist is to offer a safe, welcoming opportunity for you to explore your challenges, traumatic or upsetting events, difficulties and hopes. Together we will look at your concerns and patterns, your view of yourself, the meanings you have given things in your life, and other options you might consider. We will work to undo the effects of those difficulties, develop new skills and help you move toward greater peace, both within, and in your daily life. We will identify and clarify your personal strengths and sources of inspiration to draw upon for support as you make the changes you seek.

For 30+ years I've helped people make sense of their lives and experiences, clarify what they feel, think and want, and replace old ways with successful alternatives. In addition to talk therapy, I use EMDR, effective both for reducing/eliminating PTSD, depression and anxiety, and enhancing creative/athletic performance.

I accept most insurance plans, cash or check payments. I am working fully remotely at this time, and can only work with people in Vermont. At some point I will resume seeing some people in person as well. My office is wheelchair accessible. Please call or email with questions or for an appointment.
