About Linda Walker

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: AT PRESENT, ALL THERAPY IS BEING PROVIDED VIA HIPAA COMPLIANT VIDEO CONFERENCING. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CALL ME TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT.

If you are reading this, something is not right in your life.  Most people don't like to admit they need help, so congratulations for taking the first step to make things better for you.  Therapy is a working partnership between the therapist and the client. I will team up with you on a short-term basis, focusing on a specific problem, or for a longer time period, looking more closely at your overall makeup, and how you might change some of the parts of you that don’t feel right.  I will help you to identify your strengths and use them to overcome negative self-images and low self-esteem so you can reach your life goals.  And if you should feel like you are lost and you don’t have any goals, I can help you figure out why that is, and what you can do about it.

People seek help for lots of reasons: the obvious, like depression and anxiety, and the less-obvious, like loneliness, isolation and fear. In between are problems with relationships, career, substance abuse, health, weight, and general well-being, as well as the consequences of major life events such as divorce, job loss and death.  I use a combination of talk therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and other techniques, to achieve results.

My practice spans adults of all ages.  I have a special affinity for young adults, parents of LGBTQ children, lawyers, and overwhelmed parents.
