About Brenda A Lewis

For more than thirty years, adults and couples have worked with me to address sexual issues, dating issues, relationship problems, parenting themes, infertility, dealing with job loss and career issues, among other concerns. My approach to psychotherapy looks to identify whatever may be interfering with your state of personal happiness in everyday life. The ABCs of Dating: A Guide to Love and Dating for the Openhearted, published in 2013, draws from my work in the field and is available now on Kindle and in print.

With a strong background in psychoanalytic training and other modalities,I  believe that everyone is unique and needs to be understood in a singular way to effect positive reults. During a crisis work I do  short-term work to effect changes quickly, if needed.

I am familiar and comfortable working with people from different backgrounds and multi cultures and am respectful of religious affiliations and beliefs. Mine is a comprehensive approach that identifies underlying themes that inhibit people from moving forward in a wonderful way in life. Working together in a nurturing, non-threatening and confidential environment, we will look to bring clarity and understanding around the issues at hand and discover new ways to move forward. I enjoy providing supervision to therapists and to students in sex therapy and intimacy issues and do general supervision too.

An initial, ten minute phone consultation is available at no charge.
