About Dion Metzger

Dion Metzger, MD is a Board Certified Psychiatrist who practices in Atlanta, Georgia. She earned her Doctorate of Medicine from Morehouse School of Medicine and completed her psychiatry residency at Emory University School of Medicine. She also completed medical research at Stanford University School of Medicine and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). 

Dr. Metzger is currently on faculty as a professor of psychiatry at Emory University School of Medicine, Medical College of Georgia and Morehouse School of Medicine. She has been featured on The Doctors, Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), ABC, NBC, HLN, and in The New York Times.  Dr. Metzger’s motto of “better mind, better life” encourages audiences to prioritize their mental health in life’s balance.
