Ames Therapy & Consulting services has academic and professional experience in evaluation and treatment of individuals with mental health and medical disorders in both forensic and behavioral health settings. Both specialties posess specific knowledge in mental health assessment and clinical interview to provide opinions necessary for diagnosis, impairment and treatment of the individual. Opinions are provided in legal and medical settings, that differentiate medical and mental health issues and other related conditions that may impact work abilities and activities of daily living. 

Ames Therapy provides Independent Mental Health Evaluations, Fitness for Duty, and record reviews assessing the medical, mental health, psychiatric, and behavioral status of the individual. These cases may involve dual diagnosis; assessment of social, occupational, and work activiites; cognitive impairment, mental status, personality assessment, and substance abuse history.  These evaluations are focused to provide recommendations regarding the best evidenced based mental health treatment.
