About Barry Elkin

I am a licensed clinical psychologist who, by utilizing traditional and newer psychotherapeutic approaches, tries to  help my clients to  feel and act in a more empowered manner. Although I was initially trained psychoanalytically I now consider myself more mindfulness and CBT based.I also have been trained in Ericksonian hypnotherapy as well as EMDR. By being curious, we achieve a mindful presence by which we can have greater control over our emotional lives. I truly enjoy the contact that I make with my clients and my sense of humor facilitates that as well. I also enjoy dealing with folks and their relationship to finances which can be a powerful source of discomfort.
