About Dan Sutelman

Kids, teens and adults value my relaxed, warm, collaborative style.  Whether the difficulty is behavioral struggles at home or school, persistent feelings of anxiety, having a hard time understanding why you just don’t feel right or adjusting to a loss or major life transition, I want to help you break free from feeling stuck.

I help people navigate dark periods in their lives. Both kids and adults can find themselves heartbroken over a loss, paralyzed with anxiety after a change in life or struggling to meet their daily obligations and feel well inside.

I am dedicated to helping people bounce back from these struggles, make peace with painful emotions and conquer distress by finding meaning, hope and connection.

I want to help you get in touch  with your real, spirited self.

My path to an exciting and fulfilling practice was not straightforward. I earned by Bachelors in Business Information Systems from Northeastern University and worked as a systems administrator for 13 years. Once I decided I wanted to pursue a more meaningful and inspiring career, I worked at MCI Concord prison for a couple of years and this lead me to go to Boston College Graduate School of Social Work to pursue my MSW.

Since that time, I have worked in Newton and Dedham high schools and middle schools, Arbour and St. Elizabeth’s hospital inpatient units, Mass General Hospital and currently full time in my private practice.
