My focus as an online counselor is skill based and problem-solving. Specialties include managing emotions (particularly anger, anxiety, stress), and grief (coping with the losses caused by illness, death, end of relationships or loss of employment.)
Exploring both feelings and practicing new skills to manage those feelings is the work in counseling. If you feel like you are treading water as fast as you can but still feel like drowning in feelings rather than managing as you once could — please reach out. The work of counseling reconnects you with your strength and resiliency. To recognize the need to work on oneself is a sign of strength. (Not the weakness you may presently be mislabeling yourself.)
My style is non-judgmental and interactive. I am personally familiar with expat, immigrant, and multi-cultural issues as I lived and worked on four continents over a 20 year span. LGBTQ affirming.
