I choose Narrative Therapy as a method because it most closely matched my ideals of what therapy "should be". With this method the therapist's expertise lies in enourageing helpful conversations that connect people with their own resourcefulness. Narrative methods are based on client strengths which empower change as opposed to methods which attempt to force it. In short it is a gentle, respectful method that honors the clients expertise.
