About Valeska Cosci
Hola! I’m a Bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over twenty years of clinical psychotherapy experience in numerous mental health organizations and school settings throughout Los Angeles and New York. I am the daughter of Nicaraguan immigrants and am all too familiar with balancing two cultures and the cultural lens in which I navigate relationships and my identity. Since I am bilingual and bicultural, I have the experience, wisdom and training to work with immigrants and persons of color also trying to thrive in multiple systems. Personally and professionally, I enjoy helping people improve their lives through the process of exploring their thoughts, behaviors, and feelings. I bring a real-life, practical and straight forward approach to our therapy session. I’m comfortable getting uncomfortable if it means you see progress and I don’t shy away from the difficult parts of your life. My goal is to empower you to do the inner work required to become more self-aware, conscious of your long-standing patterns and create a more authentic, fulfilling life.
Over the years, I have worked with clients from all walks of life and diverse cultural backgrounds to cope with mental health challenges and life transitions. Clients that have continuously sought my services have been Black, Indigenous, Persons of Color (BIPOC) trying to navigate life’s journey and the systems that impact their emotional health, relationships, parenting, professional growth, and their cultural identity. Does this resonate? If so, I can help! Together we will examine cultural and systemic challenges related to your well-being and address multiple dimensions of your unique human experience to create peace and wellness.
