About Kandice Moss

Kandice Moss, M.A., LPC, R-DMT is a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Dance Movement Psychotherapist. Kandice received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology from Grand Valley State University and her Master of Arts Degree in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling from Columbia College Chicago. Kandice’s clinical experience includes working with school age children and adolescents on the Autism spectrum, blind, multi- disabled children, geriatric with Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. Kandice has worked extensively with individuals and groups with a focus on educating and skill building to enhance their mind-body-spirit connection to promote a healthy and mindful quality of life no matter what age. Her mind-body-spirit connection stems from her desire for more individuals to access more holistic approaches to therapy and wellness. Although Kandice can work with individuals from all walks of life in counseling, she enjoys working with people dealing with long-term patterns of dysfunction in their family, problems from childhood affecting relationships or work, parents managing life demands, managing self and family transitions (i.e. pre and post pregnancy) and traumatic issues such as abuse, neglect, and/or abandonment. While Kandice is a strong advocate for working with clients through a Relational-Cultural Theory perspective, she utilizes techniques from Strengths-Based and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Kandice provides a safe and supportive, therapeutic space where clients feel empowered to achieve their goals and recognize their strengths and personal power. She is passionate about building relationships through connections and/or disconnections. Through the modality of dance/movement, Kandice assist clients on their own healing journey. Kandice is a member of the American Dance Therapy Association. Kandice lives in Michigan with her husband and their two children.
