Dr. Siegel has been in private practice since 1990, treating individuals and couples in psychodynamic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. Dr Siegel completed her MSW at Loyola University of Chicago. She trained as a psychoanalyst at Newport Psychoanalytic Institute and graduated in 2007. She completed a year of training in 2013 at the Los Angeles Institute’s Trauma Studies Program and is now a member of the Los Angeles Institute and Society for Psychoanalytic studies as well as the International Psychoanalytic Association. Dr Siegel is a former employee of UCI Medical Center where she worked in both a medical and psychiatric capacity, including the emergency room and the Traumatic Stress Program and joined the Volunteer Faculty at UCI in Neuropsychiatry in July of 2015. She is also a former volunteer clinician of The Soldiers Project, (six years) serving Veterans and their families returning from the Iraq and Afghanistan wars and is a Certified First Responder Counselor. Her primary areas of interest is treating adults with PTSD and childhood trauma.
Dr. Siegel has a practice location in Long Beach, California and is currently seeing clients via telemental health formats.
