About Nalini Channapatna Prasanna
Trauma could stem from adverse childhood experiences, witnessing or being subject to domestic violence, substance abuse or parental separation. Life’s events such as job loss, an accident, death in the family, divorce, diagnosis of a serious illness, intimate partner violence and veterans returning from military service could also result in trauma. Symptoms of trauma include a compromised immune system, chronic pain, overwhelming emotions, depression, anxiety, defiance, hypervigilance, nightmares, trust issues, low self-esteem, heightened stress, shame, guilt, addiction issues, relationship difficulties and anger. If you are a survivor of trauma but your traumatic past was undiagnosed, untreated and unresolved then in your adulthood you could still be experiencing symptoms of trauma.
I specialize in trauma informed care. We will process your feelings, emotions and problems. During our sessions we will discuss good coping skills and effective strategies to help you cope with challenges in life. You will learn skills to heal, adapt, feel empowered and motivated.
