About Janice Maurer

I have a passion for helping others and value all that personal and relational therapy has to offer. With my advanced education and training, I work primarily with the effects of trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, coping, and women's issues impacting their relationships and self-esteem. I draw from my life experiences and the challenges of my past that put me onto the path to developing greater resilience, endurance and flexibility. I do not push any agenda, except that which best supports you in your journey and I am here to help you build and cultivate the resources that can help you to develop strengths, coping strategies, and a more positive sense of who you are. I have advanced training in the Gottman Method for Couples, Emotion Focused Therapy for Individuals and Couples and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, which is a holistic approach to working with trauma; namely developmental wounds from abuse/neglect that are impacting one's current functioning and is especially triggered in relational context.
