About Kathleen Nelson
I believe each of us has the strength to move beyond what is holding us back, but sometimes a little support and guidance is needed. I am here to support, guide, help my clients find their path and direction. I help clients identify and implement the tools to help them find and stay steady on their path. I help people in transitions to restore their sense of calm, purpose and control using a holistic approach. Focus is on restoring a balanced and positive mood and overall well being. My approach is focused on where the client is and where they want to go; it is collaborative and incorporates family systems, cognitive-behavioral and problem-solving strategies. The integration of the mind-body-soul is key. I am a certified grief counselor and believe therapy is an effective way to identify, and then learn to cope, with your grieving process. I blend my approach techniques for each client in a way that will best address their needs.
