About Megan Yarnall

Megan has been practicing counseling and therapy since 2013. A graduate of Pepperdine University’s Graduate School of Education and Psychology, Megan is trained in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage & Family Therapy. While she now practices as a counselor to young adult individuals, Megan’s background is firmly rooted in the relational approaches used by marriage and family therapists. Trained and supervised by Dr. Chris Hoff, the owner and director of the California Family Institute (a non-profit therapy organization serving high-need individuals in Orange County) as well as the creator of the Radical Therapist podcast, Megan completed her practicum at the California Family Institute as she worked on her degree at Pepperdine. Specializing in anxiety, depression, life transitions, and general mental health issues, Megan enjoys taking a non-judgmental, curious approach with all her clients, assuming that they are the experts on themselves and she is there to guide them through their problems and help them find new ways of thinking about or approaching what isn’t working for them. She believes that therapy requires some creativity and imagination in order to open up potential and possibility for our lives. In addition to practicing as a counselor, Megan works as a project manager and director of operations for a remote web design and development company. This gives her a unique perspective when working with clients on career counseling, transitions and major life events, potential career changes, or issues in the workplace.
