About Annalise Oatman

Annalise is an integrative, holistic EMDR therapist who specializes in the unique life issues of artists and creative people, and also in womxn's journeys to healing their past. She does her best work with creative womxn who are looking for a holistic, integrative, spiritually-oriented and thoroughly evidence-based approach to healing their trauma. She earned an Oxbridge Masters in Philosophy at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland in 2010, writing her dissertation on the intersection between existential anxiety and the varieties of mystical experience. She began working in the mental health field in 2013 at a group home for traumatized, system-involved adolescent girls and then went on to earn a Masters in Social Work with a concentration in Mental Health and direct clinical practice at the University of Southern California while interning in a chemical dependency residential program, graduating in 2015 on the Dean's List. She then earned her supervised clinical hours providing community-based mental health services to foster children and youth and their families as a Wraparound Clinician at Seneca Family of Agencies between 2016 and 2019, where she once again was deeply immersed in trauma and attachment-focused work. Deeper Well Therapy was born in early 2019 out of Annalise's desire to spend as much time as possible in depth-oriented direct clinical practice. Annalise wrote a chapter in the Oxford University Press-published textbook, Women's Journey to Empowerment in the 21st Century: A Transnational Approach, published in 2019.
