About Kaci Schmitt

*Currently accepting new clients* I deeply believe in your ability to find peace, develop your intuition and wisdom to make your own choices about what's right for your life, and create new meaning, particularly after trauma or when experiencing ongoing struggles. I am a strengths-based, humanistic, person-centered counselor in Portland, Oregon, working with children (ages 10+), adolescents, and adults. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and strive for inclusivity and curiosity for all people. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, stress, transitions, grief, indecision, school/work stress, and relationship conflicts, among other issues. I believe that you are ultimately your greatest source of wisdom and in our work together, we can uncover what is keeping you stuck and find what you need to move forward. I believe in the power of empathy and a strong therapeutic relationship when processing pain, confusion, or heartbreak, feeling peace in the present, and finding hope for your future. Through warmth and encouraging self-compassion and self-reflection, I see myself as a partner in your process of discovering how to live with greater peace. It takes courage to take the steps toward an enhanced sense of wellbeing. I would be happy to meet with you or your child/teenager to see if I might be a good fit for you in the counseling process.
