My approach to counseling is Heart-centered and Solution-focused while treating the whole person. I fully embrace the value of lifestyle and health promotion as the foundation to support emotional work. With an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Union Institute & University and a Masters in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University, along with clinical licensure from the State of Florida, I am continually advancing my skills and embracing new healing modalities to keep current and effective. Over the last fifteen years I have gained knowledge and skills working in community mental health, addiction, homelessness and hospice care. And as a certified Heartfulness meditation trainer, a Raja Yoga meditation system, and a practitioner of meditation for over 20yrs I bring both my knowledge and skills from psychotherapy and spirituality to create a dynamic healing skillset in providing care. I support clients in learning how to meditate for free, which promotes healing and behavior change. Through the groundbreaking work of neuropsychology we have empirical evidence that meditation does rewire the brain to positively impact cognition and in turn modifies behavior. I am passionate about travelling and embracing new cultures. I often travel to India to deepen my meditation practice and to attend spiritual workshops as well as travel back to my Caribbean island in the West Indies to embrace my roots. My private practice is global, with an office in West Palm Beach, FL and internationally via teletherapy. I am very passionate about helping others lead a life that is balanced and deeply centered.
