About Tracy Ross
For over 25 years, Tracy has been working with couples at all phases of their relationships including pre-marriage and post-divorce. In addition to couples and family therapy, Tracy’s specialties include parenting, discernment counseling, collaborative divorce, sex therapy and running Optimal Sexual Experience groups for couples. She has advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, Gottman Method, EMDR, and Relational Sex Therapy.
Working with families and couples experiencing challenges throughout the lifecycle, Tracy came to think of what she was doing as ‘redesigning relationships’. She identified different events and personal triggers that would disrupt relationships and came to view her role as facilitating a ‘redesign’. This unique approach helps couples gain the connection and tools to go from volatility to versatility, distance to connection, and avoidance to intimacy.
Tracy has a private practice in the West Village and for the past 10 years has also worked as a faculty member on the Resilient Families/Special Needs Kids Project at the Ackerman Institute for the Family. In that capacity, she works with families, designs and delivers workshops, and runs groups for families and professionals.
