Tracy Masiello Brown, PhD, LCMHC

I hold a doctorate degree in psychology, with concentrations in counseling and developmental psychology, as well as am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed School Counselor in North Carolina. I am also a Superior Court and District Court Mediator, certified by the State of North Carolina Alternative Dispute Resolution Commission. In addition, I am a certified Parenting Coordinator helping couples involved in high conflict custody and divorce cases. I work with young children through adults, and am highly specialized in providing interventions for adults experiencing separation or divorce, and working with women experiencing a variety of life challenges. I also have extensive experiences helping children with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and Behavior Challenges. I also specializes in working with children who have experienced parental separation and divorce. I am a nationally certified Parent-Child Interaction Therapist (PCIT). In addition to my work with clients, I conduct research on effective strategies for strengthening family relationships and promoting healthy child and adolescent development. As the recipient of several federal research grants, the findings from my studies have been extensively published in professional journals, books, and reviews. I serve on the editorial board for the peer-reviewed Journal of Social, Behavioral, and Health Sciences, and I am a peer-reviewer for the Association for Play Therapy's Play Magazine. I am a member of the American Psychological Association, the American Counseling Association, the Association for Play Therapy, as well as am a associate member of the North Carolina Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
