About Ritasha Taylor

Owner and Clinical Supervisor at SOAR Family Services, Ritasha Kari Taylor is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Supervisor, specializing in emotional challenges that affect individuals and their families. Ritasha is a graduate of Loyola University Chicago, where she completed a dual study in Clinical Social Work and Child Development. While in Chicago, Ritasha also accepted The Irving B. Harris Fellowship at The Erikson Institute on Child Development. Ritasha specializes in working with individuals whose thoughts or moods have created hurdles in their day-to-day lives. Her Solution Focused and Cognitive Behavioral approaches help her connect with children youth and adults alike. Ritasha’s goal is to help people understand their thoughts/feelings and plan for what they can control while learning what to do with the rest. Ritasha was recently named the Treatment Director at Carson Parke, a residential treatment center (RTC) for emotionally and behaviorally challenging youth. Ritasha is also the Co-Founder of Heartstrings Youth Village a safe shelter for homeless and runaway youth; as well as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston Downtown in the Social Work Department. Ritasha remains actively involved in the community as an education advocate.
