I have been in the Social Work field for over 20 years. I have experience in the areas of domestic violence, children who have witnessed abuse, child abuse, sexual abuse, sexual assault, working with victims in the criminal justice system, anxiety, trauma, grief, loss, children’s mental health, parenting issues, separation and divorce, self-esteem, family therapy, crisis intervention, work/life balance, conflict resolution, self-care, play therapy for children and more!
As a Clinical Traumatologist (CT), I am able to provide clinical assessments, interventions, and treatment to trauma survivors using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Using this therapeutic approach enables me to offer effective techniques. Some of the things you may be experiencing: intrusive thoughts, flashbacks, trauma-related fears, panic, avoidance, numbing, detachment from others, loss of interest, irritability, guilt, shame, general anxiety, sleep disturbances, difficulty concentrating. We will work together through your trauma and recovery.
My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
