About Barbra Rogoff
I believe that, with a little help, anyone can move past any obstacle, achieve their goals, and experience a more rewarding and fulfilling life; today you are one step closer. While we can't prevent difficulties from arising, we can work together to better understand and resolve the challenges in your life.
I work to build a strong relationship with each client, one that promotes trust, awareness, and understanding. To that end I see counseling as a collaborative effort in which we are equal partners. This allows counseling to become a two-way process, a back-and-forth in which we talk with each other rather than at each other. Although I utilize many theories and techniques depending upon my clients' needs, my approach is primarily based on the belief that it is how and what we think that determine our beliefs, feelings, and actions. Therefore, if we can identify and learn to change our thinking patterns, we can ultimately change our lives. By utilizing complementary therapy approaches and techniques we can work together to uncover and change the thinking and behavior patterns that may be holding you back from experiencing a more rewarding and meaningful life.
