Angela Lee, LMHC

Angela Lee was born and raised in Panama City, FL. After Hurricane Micheal in 2018 she relocated to Tallahassee, FL. Ms. Lee has 6 children and 7 grandchildren and wholeheartedly believes that family traditions and family togetherness is vital. Ms. Lee started her career in Early Childhood Education. She was a director at several childcare centers as well as worked as a Mental Health Specialist for Head Start. She has raised two children with emotional/behavioral struggles which inspired her to a change in career. Ms. Lee received her BS degree in Psychology from Florida State University and her MS degree in Clinical Mental Health from Troy University. Ms. Lee has experience as a Substance Abuse counselor as well as supervised several programs from counseling and case management to social rehabilitation program and a residential program. Ms. Lee was most recently a Social Services Supervisor at an inpatient psychiatric facility. Ms. Lee is passionate about helping individuals navigate through the mental health system not only from a professional experience but also through a personal experience as a parent of children with special needs. Ms. Lee strives to educate others about the importance of treating individuals with respect and dignity and ensuring everyone has the right to person-centered care. Ms. Lee's personal and professional experiences led her to founding Bright Future Behavioral Health Inc. This non-profit organization seeks to educate the community about importance of mental health treatment and to be an integral part of providing affordable access to treatment.
